Helen leads GSK’s Global Corporate Government Affairs Policy & Advocacy team, demonstrating how purpose and profit can thrive together by championing responsible business leadership and advancing GSK’s mission to improve health globally. She drives strategic advocacy in areas critical to both societal impact and business success, including sustainability, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), access to medicines, intellectual property (IP), and global health. As an integral member of GSK’s Global Health Leadership Team, Helen also fosters partnerships and shapes policy to expand access to healthcare innovations, ensuring meaningful health improvements while delivering long-term value for the company.
With over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Helen has built expertise across the full product development lifecycle and diverse business functions, including sales, marketing, R&D, scientific communications, medical affairs, patient advocacy, public policy, and global access programmes. Her leadership in the HIV/AIDS sector spans more than 15 years, where she has developed and delivered sustainable strategies and partnerships to address healthcare access challenges in low- and middle-income countries, demonstrating how advancing health equity can align with responsible business growth.
Helen holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry & Genetics from the University of Nottingham (UK) and began her journey in global public health through voluntary work in rural Zimbabwe with Students Partnership Worldwide (now Restless Development). This formative experience sparked her lifelong commitment to ensuring health equity and sustainable business practices, underscoring her belief that purpose-driven leadership can deliver both positive societal impact and commercial success.
